Description |
Four negatives featuring performers in the Port Elgin Skating Club's carnival, accompanied by an envelope bearing handwritten title "Carnival Jan. 1956": (Reference: Port Elgin Times February 01, 1956). A2013.012.02271: Group photograph of ten children wearing various costumes and ice skates. A2013.012.02272: Four children wearing various costumes standing on the Port Elgin ice rink. The children left to right are: Terry Lane, Maureen Thornburn, Carolyn Brigden. Child on the righ is not identified. A2013.012.02273: Sixteen boys, most wearing hockey jerseys, lined up on the ice in the Port Elgin arena as if at the start of a race. A2013.012.02274: Two young women wearing ice skates and skating costumes, each holding a baton or wand, standing on the ice rink. The young lady on the left is Beverly Travis (runner up) and Queen is Helen Travis, her sister. |
