Negative photographs featuring the Port Elgin Junior Farmers' Executive. A2013.012.02526: Image of 12 young men, seven standing and five seated, in front of a teacher's desk. The picture appears to have been taken in a classroom. One of the young men is wearing a "Junior Farmers Port Elgin" shirt. A2013.012.02527: Image of eight women, five standing and three seated, behind a table. On the table is a silver presentation bowl on top of a white doily. These negatives were part of a collection of over 20,000 images captured by teacher and photographer J. Lindsay Thornburn from 1950-1983. They were originally housed in an envelope with handwritten title "Jr. Farmers' Executive" which was in a container bearing a date of 1950-1957. |
