Negative photographs featuring the C.N.R. Rail Liner A2013.012.04512: Picture of the CNR train station, Port Elgin. A2013.012.04513: CNR diesel engine #1718. Picture taken at night; there are two men in working clothes standing next to the steps up into the engine. A man in a suit and tie can be seen through the window of the cab. A2013.012.04513: Three men in suits standing next to a train passenger car. One of the men is standing on the steps into the car. A2013.012.04514: Parking lot of the railway station, several cars parked in front of a Canadian National railway car. A group of men are standing in front of the rail car. |

These negatives were part of a collection of over 20,000 images captured by teacher and photographer J. Lindsay Thornburn from 1950-1983. They were originally housed in an envelope with handwritten title "C.N.R. Rail Liner" which was in a container bearing a date of 1957-1961. |
