There is a stone walkway, lawn and hedge in the foreground, and the lodge is surrounded by large trees. A large sign which reads "HY-LO COTTAGE" is attached to one wing of the lodge. |

These negatives were part of a collection of over 20,000 images captured by teacher and photographer J. Lindsay Thornburn from 1950-1983. They were originally housed in an envelope with handwritten title "Mrs. R. Campbell's Lodge HyLo" which was in a container bearing a date of 1963. |
