This photograph features the "Sir William Hearst, 1864-1941" provincial historical plaque which was unveiled in Tara, Ontario on September 18, 1960. Gathered in front of the plaque are ceremony participants, L-R: Harodl Wolfe, Reeve of Arran Township; Chester Merriam, Royal Canadian Legion Tara Branch; M. Fischer, Warden of Bruce County; James Alexander, Bruce County Historical Society; Andrew Robinson, MP (Bruce); Stuart Robertson, President Bruce County Historical Society; Miss Edna Evans, niece of Sir William Hearst; J.E. Young, Reeve of Tara; Dr. J.F. Morton, Curator, Bruce County Historical Museum; Rev. D.G. Archibald of Knox Presbyterian Church, Tara; Prof. G.F.G. Stanley, a member of the Historic Sites Board; and Ross M. Whicher, MPP (Bruce).
