Description |
A composite photographic print, possibly of the attendees (men) of the Conference of the New Connection Church, Arkwright (later the Arkwright United Church). Mounted on cardboard. Church services started officially in 1855 and the church was located at Concession 4 and Sideroad 15. A frame church was erected in 1861. [For more info see "Reflections of Arran", pg. 44.] The image contains an oval in which 94 headshots have been collaged. Numbers have been written beside each man's picture, which correspond to a list of names located in each of the four corners of the photograph. NAMES ARE: (Top Left) R. Smythe, C.
