Description |
Image depicting the front of a shield necklace given to William McCurdy by the Elderslie Township to returning First World War soldiers in 1919. Necklaces were presented to soldiers at a picnic at McDermid's Bush on the 8th concession of Elderslie, Ontario. Necklace features a soldier holding a gun and standing in font of a flag. There is foliage along the bottom and a beaver is seen at the top. |
