Provenance

Appleford Paper Products (Limited) was started by Leslie and Alfred Appleford from Seaforth, Ontario. They started in the business of creating the first counter sales bookkeeping systems (printing counter cheque books). Alfred branched off on his own to make wax paper products at other Appleford locations. The KVP (Kalamazoo Vegetable Parchment) company eventually acquired Appleford Paper Products and opened plants in Montreal and Toronto (in addition to the original location based out of Hamilton, Ontario). They had a number of product lines including plain and printed waxed papers, bread wrappers, printed parchment, printed gummed tape, household waxed, shelf paper, pie plates and more.
