Photographic negative featuring a eight men posing in the Port Elgin Curling Rink. Six are standing in a row. Two are kneeling on either side of the row behind. All are holding curling brooms and curling stones are in the middle. The individual kneeling on the left is Jack Schell. There are six standing. From L to R: (1) ?; (2) ?; (3): ? These negatives were part of a collection of over 20,000 images captured by teacher and photographer J. Lindsay Thornburn from 1950-1983. They were originally housed in an envelope, along with items .2337-.2339 with handwritten title "Curling Bonspiel Window 1954 / V McKenzie Rink 1953" in a container bearing a date of 1950-1957. |
