Description |
Reproduction photograph depicting four men standing on a pile of logs being pulled by a dark horse and a white horse. To the right stands two men. To the left are two other piles of logs. Behind the first pile of logs is another pair of horses. The note attached to the photograph reads "A load of logs, measuring 2200 board feet, taken down Spragge's Hill to the Whicher Mill in 1914. L. to R. Driver Alex Caudle, J. Loughlean, Team owner Tom Marson, E. Thompson, Mr. Weir, Henry Spragge". This photograph is included on page 243 of the book "Albemarle: a History of the Township" published in 1991. |
