Digital images featuring the exterior work of the restoration project at Chantry Island. These photos predominantly feature the landscaping work and gardens. 001: Aerial view of the lighthouse keeper's cottage, and landscaping work around the cottage. 002: Image of the time capsule left by the volunteers of the Chantry Island restoration project. "We placed a very heavy stone over the Time Capsule and marked it with a plaque announcing it to be opened August 11, 2101." (See more on page 51 of the book "We Were Here : The Chantry Island Lighthouse Restoration" by Michael Sterling). 003: View of landscaped gardens on the island, near the lighthouse. Mike Sterling is standing in the background on the left hand side of the photo, and the lake is visible in the distance. 004: View of the "twig tripod" garden on the island. There is a sign behind the landscaped area which reads, "POISON IVY / SUMAC BEYOND THIS POINT". 005-009: Various views of the gardens, landscaping work, and natural floral and fauna of the island. 010: Image of a small convoluted rock.
