Description |
A Wedding hat. Hat is large brimmed and wire shape is covered in black mesh netting. Circular decals decorated with sequins, beading, and ribbon (all black) adorn the hat. There is a sheer netting flounce on one side, which is adorned with black flowers edged in white with yellow centres and green leaves (all artificial). A satin ribbon sash encircles the hat just where the bucket meets the brim. |

This wedding hat was worn by Daisy Ann Baker Fisk at her wedding on May 4, 1904. It was found with other family items at the Homestead of Thomas and Honora Waite Baker, located at Lot 7, Concession 8, Kinloss-Township, near Lucknow, Ontario. |
