Description |
A smaller watercolour painting depicting a still life scene. The painting is oval shaped and the main background is black. The composition shows a vase with flowers. The vase is grey/beige toned with purple highlights. The flowers vary in colour and shapes but are white daisy like flowers along the outer edge and red, orange and yellow pansy like flowers in the centre. The vase is on a brown flat surface. There appears to be chalk pastel used to add tonal changes in the vase and table top surface. The painting is supported in a gold metal oval shaped frame. The top, bottom and side edges have a raised decorative detail. The back is flat with a circular shaped wall hanging bracket that is secured to the frame. |
