Provenance |
The cream skimmers belonged to Euphemia Knox, who lived North of Allenford with her husband Thomas John Knox. To have money for groceries, Euphemia would take eggs, butter and cream (made with the skimmers), walk to the market in Tara and sell them. She would then use that money to purchase items at the market and return home. Thomas John Knox was known to walk to Owen Sound to the mill to have flour made. |
