Description |
Silver ladle. Handle tip comes to a small point and is decorated with a large five-petaled flower and two small flowers below. Bottom of handle is decorated with two medium sized flowers. The stem is long and is curved upwards near the handle. Stem is decorated with incised lines, and a small flower at the base. Bowl is roughly circular in shape and shallow. Inside of bowl, near the stem is decorated with upraised arabesques with flowers in the centre. On the underside of the handle is "PAT. NOV. 28 1910 Wm. ROGERS & SON". |

The company Wm. Rogers Ltd, produced several marks. The company was bought out by Oneida in 1929. |

The ladle was used and owned by the McLaughlin family, who were one of the original settler families in Elderslie Township. |
