Provenance |
The watch belonged to Robert B. Hillmer who was a jeweller in Southampton from about 1900 to the time of his death in 1958. A number of his small tools date from the beginning of the century. The set of engraving tools were used to engrave a great number of the coffin plates used for funerals for a half-century or so. |
