Description |
One commemorative medal. Medal is gold/brass in colour and is circular in shape. At the top of the medal is a small swivel ring which in turn is attached to a retanguar bar with a pin on the back. On the front of the medal is a man facing proper right. Around the outside is "PRESENTED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES". Across the bar is "EPLUR...US UNUM". The middle letters of the word PLURIBUS are covered with a shield. On the back of the medal are laurel leaves with the inscription ""To W.H. Ferguson In recognition of his heroism in assisting in the rescue of the seamen of the American Schooner Ann Maria, Wrecked on Lake Huron Ontario October 8, 1902". |
