Description |
One commemorative medal. Medal is round in shape and made of silver. Engraved on the obverse is "Presented to John Spence Jr. For Heroic Conduct in Saving the Ship Wrecked Crew of the Propelor New York, Octo. 1876". On the reverse is a a three-masted schooner in full sail. At top of medal is a small loop that attaches to the silver ribbon bar. Ribbon is black in colour. At top of ribbon is another ribbon bar. Attached to backside of ribbon bar is a large pin. |
