Description |
A dark brown finished wood curling stone. The stone is circular with a slight flat edge along the circumfrance. It has a curved metal support for rounded handle with a wood hand grip., In white lettering on one side reads "Scott". |
Provenance |
The stone was originally thought to have been made in Scotland, but now thought by donor to have been made in Bruce County around 1860 by Robert Scott. It was used by Robert Scott to curl on the Saugeen River by the Dunblane Church. |
