Description |
Steel military helmet. Crown is shallow and domed. Crown flows out into a brim which tapers with the sides being wider than the front and back. On the crown in the front there is a painted red rectangle measuring 4X9cm. The edge binding is made from the same steel. The sweatband of the helmet is made of black leather and a fibrous material. The sweatband is attached to the helmet by two leather straps that are attached to the tip with a metal post. The liner of the helmet is a coarse cotton material affixed to the helmet with a thick paper-like material stitched in the centre. Attached to the brim on each side is a steel tab with a brass rectangular loop. Through these loops is the chin strap which is a brown leather. |
