Description |
A red, black and gold cap with a round top and small brim. The cap top is red with a black band connecting the brim and top. There are gold coloured accents on the brim and band. There are two buttons on each side of the cap that connect a gold rope across the front above the brim. The brim is black with a gold ribbon detail along the edge. The underside of the brim is green. The front of the cap has a gold pin in the shape of laurel leaves in a wreath shape. There are the letters "TCB" in the middle of the wreath. The cap also reads "CONDUCTOR" below the wreath. The inside of the cap has a brown leather headband. The bottom is navy felt. There is a faint stamp in the middle of the navy bottom that has lettering that is smuged and not legible. There is a faint image of a crown with a banner below it. |

The cap belonged to Albert Stutt. He was the Conductor for the Teeswater Concert Band. According to the 1891 Census, Albert Stutt was born about 1879 in Ontario. His parents were Archibald and Maggie Stutt. They were listed in Bruce East district, Culross. |
