Description |
A wooden lacrosse stick with a leather string net. The stick has a skinny cylinder handle which widens at the top to create a curved frame at the top. The frame is a half circle made of wood which is cut off at the edge of the top piece. The top piece is slightly bevelled to create the scoop. The left side has a full length string that attaches to the wood frame and creates a oval shaped net. The strings are woven together with main strings that run vertically from the top of the frame down. Smaller strings are woven with the vertical strings to create a web like appearance. |
Provenance |
The lacrosse stick belonged George Goar who was a member of The Tanglefoot Gang, Port Elgin's lacrosse team. |
