Description |
A circular button with a white background with a pink coloured border. There are two photos in black and white (or drawings?) of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip in 1939. At the top of the button there is "Canada" in black writing with a maple leaf underneath. The front of the button has a clear see-through window where the name tag can be seen. Inside the window is a pink coloured paper with "Howard Krug, Chesley" typed in black letters. Underneath the window in pink coloured letters is "Kinsmen Convention District No.1 Owen Sound, ONT May19-20-1939". Along the edge of the button where the plastic meets the metal is small writing in white letters that reads "J.A. Huges 482 Millwood Rd Toronto". The back of the button is metal with a safety pin back with a hooked clasp to keep the button secured on one's apparel. The back has a opening slot where the paper can be inserted. |
Provenance |
The button was collected from the Bruce A. Krug estate and belonged to Bruce Krug's brother, Howard. |
