Provenance |
This banner belonged to the Bruce County Junior Institutes. The institutes were the young ladies side of the Bruce County Junior Farmer's Association. The Women's Institutes also played a key role in fostering and sponsoring these groups. Ladies belonging to the Junior Institutes took part in Junior Farmer's competions such as public speaking, community fundraising, and judging livestock for 4-H. |
