Description |
One Wedding Dress. Dress is a short, A-line style with round collar. Dress is largely made of a champagne-coloured lace, with a sheer rose-coloured yoke and cuffs. Entire dress is sheer and would have been worn over a garment to complete the look. A lacy, u-shaped collar gives way to the sheer rose sleeves, yoke, and torso. The sleeve is lace again at the forearm before concluding with a rose-coloured cuff. The skirt of the dress is done in the same lace with four large velvet flowers approximately half way down and evenly spaced around the circumference. |

The dress was worn by Laura Hannah Monk (b. October 25, 1900) upon her wedding to John Henry Engel. They were married on May 1st, 1930 and lived in Elmwood, Ontario. |
