Description |
One cylindrical shaped metal milk can. The outside of the can is painted a cream colour. There is a metal ring handle on either side half way down. A name plate at the top reads "J.W. Rogers". There is a separate lid with two handles at the top and hole in the centre. Stamped in the can reads "Pat'd. Feb. 9, 1894 - Montreal". |
Provenance |
This milk can was used by John W. Rogers, who drew milk from Maple Hill to Dunkeld in 1895. The collected milk was then delivered to the Dunkeld Cheese and Butter Manufacturing Company Limited for $1.45 per trip. |
