Description |
A pair of wooden snow skis. The skis are long and narrow and finished in a dark brown stain. The tips of the skis are rounded with a slight point.. The centre area has a metal foot mount base that is rectangular in shape with two side brackets. There is a leather strap running through the brackets. The back of the mount has a metal foot plate that is the same width as the ski and is rounded at the end. Ski (b) has another leather strap and binding that are attached by two 'S' hooks on each side of the main bracket. The binding (part c) has a brown leather strap and toggle like metal clasp attachment. There is another 'S' hook on the side of the bracket (part d) that would have attached the leather strap binding to the opposite side. There is a raised design in the wood that sits in front and back of the foot plate. The underside of the skis are a lighter brown stain with a hollow ridge carved that runs 3/4 of the ski length. |
