Description |
A black fox fur stole. It is long and curved with at fox's head at one end and the tail and feet at the other. There is one glass eye (other is missing) and two wooden buttons covered with black crocheting. There are domes attached onto buttons on the underside. There is a bound buttonhole at neck. The stole is padded and lined with black cotton. |

The stole belonged to Sarah Fitzgerald (nee Stanley), of Kincardine. Sarah was originally from Kinloss Township. The stole was given to her by her husband William Fitzgerald as a Christmas gift circa 1916. |
