Description |
A beige and blue toned signature quilt. The front has several blocks that have an 'X' shape in a light beige colour with a diamond shape in the centre. The 'X' is outlined with white and is against a light blue background. The corners of the blocks are squares in the same blue colour. There is a red border along the entire edge. The back of the quilt is solid red. The signatures are stitched in blue and beige on corresponding colours and the white has red stitching. |

This quilt was made by the Purple Valley Red Cross Society in 1917 as a First World War fundraising effort and bought by J.C. Lemcke for $25.00. |
