Description |
A rectangular glass medicine bottle with a narrow neck. A cork remains inserted into the top. The label on the front of the bottle has the text, "Dr. M.H. Gillies Teeswater, Ontario." It also has some illegible handwriting that states who the contents were for and directions for use. At the bottom of the label, "Shake well before using" is typed. The side of the bottle has raised number scale indicating content volume ranging from 80-20 CC. The bottom of the bottle has raised text stamped into the glass reading "Rex Ova Trademark". |

This bottle was used by Dr. Midford Hadwen (M. H.) Gillies in his practice. Dr. Gillies was located in Teeswater and also served as Medical Officer of Health for Culross Township and Teeswater for 42 years as well as Coroner of Bruce County until his death. |
