Description |
Second World War ribbon bar. Bar consists of two rows of different sizes. On the top row there are two ribbons and on bottom there are four. Each row consists of a backing that the ribbons are wrapped around. The rows are connected one atop the other by being attached to a white mat board backing. Glued to the mat board is a black peice of felt. Emerging from the felt are two brass posts. The top row from proper left to right represents the Italian Star and the 1939-45 Star. The second row from proper left to right represents The War Medal 1939-45, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, the Defense Medal and the France and Germany Star. In the centre of the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal ribbon is a bronze maple leaf, which represents the awarding of the overseas bar. |
