Description |
A pair of shin guards. They are red fiberglass on the outside and dark blue navy felt on the inside. They are wide at the knee area and taper down towards the ankle. The knee joint has a strip of leather that attaches to top of shin area. The bottom edge is leather bound. There is a black maker's mark stamped on the knee area that reads "Mastercraft" with a faint number that has been smudged and not legible. |

The shin guards belonged to Allan Brown. He was born in Southampton and played both baseball and hockey locally and later in Stratford. Allan was killed April 20, 1963 near Stratford in a truck and train collision while on duty with the CNR as train fireman. |
