Description |
A dark charcoal grey wool uniform. The uniform is for an employee of the County Jail as per the shoulder titles on each side. The uniform consists of a jacket (part a) and belt (part b), pants (part c), a white dress shirt (part e) and tie (part d). The jacket is charcoal grey with two breast pockets, waist pockets and a four button front closure. All buttons on the jacket are silver with an image of a crown. The shoulders have epaulets on each side with a silver button. There are two shoulder badges on each side with white text reading "County Jail". Inside is lined with a label reading "SAINTLIER LEVINE TORONTO MONTREAL". Part (b) is a matching belt that has two rows of notches and a silver clasp. The clasp has two points to match the belt notches. Part (c) is the matching pants. They are the same colour and material with a red stripe on the side. There are two side pockets lined with leather. The rear has two pockets. The pants have a zipper and button front closure and have cotton lined pockets on the inside. Part (d) is a charcoal coloured tie that matches the same material as the uniform. It is a narrow tie with a white maker's label reading "CAVALRY TWILL". Part (e) is a white dress shirt with a collar and faint pinstripe pattern. The shirt is cotton and long sleeved. Inside labels read "100% cotton - made in China" and "Guy Laroche 17 32/33" |

The uniform belonged to Lloyd Pletsch who was employed at the Walkerton Jail for over 22 years. He worked at the County Jail from 1967-1989. |
