Description |
A square shaped silver tray with ornate edging and two handles cut out from the sides. The handles have an acanthus leaf design with an oval hole cut out. The ornate edging makes the tray have an scalloped outer edge. The tray has a bevelled edge that flows down to the main square shape of the tray. The middle has engraving that reads "Presented by - Detachment 32nd Bruce Reg. - Wireless Station - Tobermory, Ont. - XMAS 1914". The back of the tray has a maker's mark which is circular with an image of a flag inside. Surrounding the flag it reads "Standard Silver Co.Ltd, Toronto, Ont." Below the circle stamp there is the number "82" and below that there are 4 squares, the last two on the right read "B" 'M". |
