Description |
One metal tweezer with thin and flat sides and two separate points. The pointed ends are arm shapes that attach to the sides. The top of the tweezers have a decorative half circle design. There is a stamp on one side that is a crown with "LHF" below it. |
Provenance |
The tweezers belonged to Robert B. Hillmer who was a jeweller in Southampton from about 1900 to the time of his death in 1958. A number of his small tools date from the beginning of the century. The set of engraving tools were used to engrave a great number of the coffin plates used for funerals for a half-century or so. |
