Provenance |
This model, said to resemble the fishing tug Frank MacAulay, was made by Clayton Knechtel prior to the First World War. His cousin, Orland Knechtel, a machinist by trade, was supposed to build the engine. Both Clayton and Orland served during the War, and Orland was killed in action June 24, 1917. The model was never fully completed. |
