Description |
One silver medal. The medal has a banner across the top with engraving that reads "Awarded to - Rebecca Taylor - For Industrial Drawing". The banner has two chains below that support a circular shaped medallion. The medallion has a small circle at the top with "1892" engraved. There are arabesque designs on both sides that connect to a larger circle. The circle has an urn in the centre with banners below that read "Amicus Humani Generis". The banner on the outer edge of the circle reads "Home Knowledge And Canadian Library Asson". There are laurel leaves on the bottom of the medallion. |

The medal was awarded to Rebecca Taylor and is from 'Model School', before it was called Teacher's College at Stratford. Rebecca Taylor (later Mrs. John McBeath) was born in Pinkerton, Greenock Township to Joseph and Martha (nee Sproule) Taylor. Rebecca passed away in her 89th year and is buried in Toronto. John McBeath was a resident of Elderslie Township. |
