Description |
A wooden plaque with a black and gold plate on the front. The base of the plaque is a walnut brown colour with a smooth bevelled edge. There is a raised rectangular piece that the metal plate is nailed to. The plate is black with a decorative border of a leaf design. There is gold text engraved on the front that reads as the following: Thank You to the people of the Town of Southampton Represented by Mayor Arthur Knechtel Reeve Douglas Kreutzweiser Deputy Reeve Elgin Shular Councillors William Bowden Douglas Johnston Stanley Bromaroff Arlene Tew Arthur Eby David Ziegler Wray Smith - Clerk Administrator Marion Eby - Treasurer We will always be grateful for your support Sincerely William J. Rayner & Family May 1988 The back of the plaque has two slots carved into the back for a hanging. |
