Description |
A green quilted wall hanging. It is rectangular in shape and has a main background of green quilted fabric that has brown vertical stripes. The centre of the wall hanging has an image of a barn with people standing in front all holding hands. There is blue fabric at the top to represent the sky, and a beige patterned fabric that represents the ground. The barn is on the left side of the image in the centre. There is an image of a reaching hand towards the group of people that is located at the top right corner. There is dark blue text on the image that reads "Queen's Bush Rural Ministries - Helping Farmers Survive Crisis with Dignity". The back of the wall hanging is solid green fabric. There is a panel sewn at the top edge for a rod/dowel to support the wall hanging. There is a beige coloured square on the bottom left corner with handwriting that reads "Mary Hegemier - Tara, Ontario - 1998". |

The wall hanging was used by the Queen's Bush Rural Ministries during public events such as ploughing matches, Farmer's Day in Elmwood, fall and agri fairs, and annual meetings. The Queen's Bush Rural Ministries began in 1987 and aided farmers and families during crises. The group folded in February/March of 2019. |
