Description |
A wood printing block with a copper plate image on the top. The block is rectangular shaped and has a horizontal image on the front. The plate is attached to the block by four small nails. The image has a floral wreath type of border with 6 flying sparrows . The back of the block is plain wood. |
Provenance |
The block was used by the Tara Leader newspaper prior to their installation of linotype machines. The Tara Leader began publishing regularly in 1881. |
