Description |
A knife with a gold blade and a handle made of bullets. The blade has a curved bottom edge and the top has two triangle shape points. There is engraving on each side of the blade. The front has "Lens" and the back has a floral design. The bottom handle is made of a single bullet with two pointed bullet heads at each side to mimic a cross shape. The bottom of the bullet reads "S N 5 15". |
Provenance |
The trench knife belonged to William Charles Donaldson who served with the 160th Bruce Battalion during the First World War. It was passed down through the family who were from the Chippawa Hill area. |
