Description |
A silver coloured metal railroad lantern. The lantern has a metal body that is surrounded by a cage. There is a glass dome around the centre that has text stamped in the glass reading "Adlake Kero - CNR". Inside the glass is a circular base with a metal burner with turning knob. There is a flat top lid with knob at top that has several holes around the top edge. There is a handle attached to the sides of the cage. There is text stamp in the lid that reads " CNR - Hiram L. Piper Co. Ltd". |
Provenance |
The lantern was used by Fernando Beaulieu, who worked for the CNR as a signal maintainer. He travelled station to station to ensure signals were maintained and was based in the Walkerton station. |
