Description |
Square brass belt buckle. Buckle is decorated with a large upraised circle in the centre. The edge of the circle is incised with angled lines and resembles a rope. Along the top of the circle are the words "GOTT MIT UNS". Along the bottom of the circle is a laurel. In the centre of the circle is a crown. The buckling mechanism on the back is made of brass. The mechanism consists of a rod with two prongs. The prongs are one piece and appear to be soldered to the rod. On the other end of the back side there is a small brass loop. Gott Mit Uns means God With Us. This slogan was used in both World Wars by the Germans but it is mostly associated with Hitler and WWII. |
