Description |
A 160th Bruce Battalion cap badge. The badge is made of bronze and is in the shape of the maple leaf. Upraised within the maple leaf is a crown with "BRUCE" in a oval beneath it. Below the oval is a furled ribbon with "CANADA OVERSEES". Below the ribbon is "160". The backing of the badge consists of two small upraised eyelets and a fastener that slides through the eyelets. |

The cap badge was worn by Captain Roy Beverley Whitehead of Walkterton, Ontario during the First World War. Captain Whitehead served with the 160th Bruce Battalion, 32nd Bruce Regiment. At the beginning of the War, Roy entered as a Lieutenant and was promoted to Captain in 1916. |
