Provenance |
This school strap was made by a local of the Burgoyne area. It was given to Jane Esplen Knox who taught at the Burgoyne School (U.S.S. 2 Arran and Saugeen). According to Jane, she never had to use the strap but kept it on her desk as a reminder to the students. Many students couldn't get to the continuation school in Port Elgin, so Jane taught many students through Grade 10. |
