Description |
One Model 2, Victor Portable Stereopticon projector. Base of projector is round in shape and is covered with a thick blue/green felt on the bottom. At the centre top of base is a flange for attaching main body of projector. Project can pivot up and down at this juncture. Main body of projector is cylindrical in shape and is made of white metal with a section of dark coloured metal with rows of round holes. At front of main body is a rectangular slide holder made of metal with wooden ends. At front is round glass lens, which can be adjusted forwards and backwards by two posts that run on each side of the main body. Stamped into the lens is "PROJECTION OPTICS CO. ROCHESTER N.Y.". Attached to the main body is a metal tag with "VICTOR PORTABLE STEREOPTICON MODEL 2 SERIAL NO. 19119" and "VICTOR ANIMATOGRAPH CO. DAVENPORT IOWA U.S.A." Patent dates of tag are 1913 and 1914. At back of body is a bracket for holding a light bulb. Emitting from the base of the bulb socket is a fabric covered electrical cord with a toggle switch in a bakelite body in the centre of it. Projector is made of both ferrous and non ferrous metals. |
