Description |
One military spat with identification tag attached. Spat is made from green canvas, and is roughly rectangular in shape. The corners are rounded and one long side is slightly scalloped. Attached to one end are two green canvas straps. The end of each strap is covered with metal. Attached to the other end are two metal buckles. Inside of spat is a strip of orange rough cotton material. Sewn overtop of the orange material are two small rounded patches of brown leather. On the orange material are two stamps which are not wholly identifiable. Written on the orange material is "A11709" in black ink. Written on the inside on the green canvas is "A11709" in black ink. Identification tag is made from a wooden composite material and is rectangular in shape. One side is smooth, while the other rough. Stamped into the smooth side is "A K ADAMS A11709". On each side of the tag is a small hole; through one of the holes is a brass clasp. |
