Description |
A silver commemorative medallion. On both sides there is raised images and text. One side has an image of two ships against storm like clouds and large waves above the horizon line. The water line has text that reads "Boiler Beach, Kincardine Ont. Canada". The other side has an image of a large ship's boiler in the water near the shore line. There is text below that reads "The Erie Bell exploded south of Kincardine Nov. 21, 1883, killing four men in an attempt to free the grounded schooner "Carter". The boiler remains a lasting memorial to Lake Huron Sailors". |
