Occupation |
Joseph Cunningham bought land in Glamis, Bruce County, in 1878 and ran a General Store for many years. Over the years, the store housed the post office and local library. Lila's twin sister, Laura, and her husband, Bert Greer, bought the store in 1922. Lila clerked in the family store early in life, and later resumed the job under the ownership of Albert A. Greer. Her husband, Dan McLean, farmed on Concession 2, Bruce Township. According to her obituary, "Lila's church, the Glamis Baptist Church, and her community were her life. Her interests included remembering her many friends with cards on all special occasions and keeping a complete record of the area news published in local papers since the early 1900s." |

Lila spent her entire life in the Glamis and Paisley areas of Bruce County before moving to Bruce Lea Haven, Walkerton, Ontario, in July 1977. |
