Description |
A bronze coloured medal with a blue grosgrain ribbon attached. The medal has a circular medallion at the base with text engraved on the front side and raised text on the back. The front side of the medallion reads "Awarded to Capt. W Mc G Lambert for conspicuous courage in the rescue of Capt. Glass and Crew at Chantry Island Aug. 1906". The back of the medallion has raised text that reads "Royal Canadian Humane Association" with maple and laurel leaves to create a wreath and a crown at the top. The medallion has an arabesque design at the top to attach the blue grosgrain ribbon. The top of the ribbon has a bronze coloured ornamental pin with raised text that reads "Bravery". The medal is stored in a black case with red silk lining. |

The medal was awarded to Captain William McGregor Lambert for his life saving efforts during the wreck of the Cavalier at Chantry Island (Long Dock) August, 1906. |
